Hey Club!

This month I chose to do a 'guy' card for my project. I guess you could say that I am getting ready for Father's Day!!! I used Paul from the Greeting Farm. His skin is E 00, 21 and 51.His hair is E31, 33, 35, and 37. His shoes and shirt (peeking out) are E 35. Yep, all Es.  I used a piece of patterned papper by Recollections for his clothes. I made this a size A2 card out of Kraft card stock and cut it so it opens from top to bottom, not side to side. I used dark brown card stock for the largest mat at 4 by 5.25 and the pattern paper mat is from K&Co. and is cut at 3.75 by 5. I also used my corner rounder to round opposing corners for a different look. Then I took dark brown and dark cream cardstock to make the stripe going across the  patterened paper. I used some dark brown ribbon on it as well to add some detail. You know I had to embellish it somehow but no flowers on a 'guy' card! So, I used buttons, LOL. I pulled the colors from the K&Co. paper to tie it all together. The sentiment is from Tim Holtz's Purely Random stamp set. I know it looks like I had trouble stamping it (fuzzy) but that is how the stamp is. Or, how mine is at least. I stamped it multiple times and that is as clear as it got. I hope you like it. Feel free to leave a comment!

A BIRTHDAY CARD FOR A
BOSTON CELTICS FAN

G'day Color Me Copic Club followers. It's Suezette here. What a week I've been having. Birthday after birthday! That means card after card for me. This one was really fun to do as there is no paperline involved. Just straight up Copics! Oh, and 'Glossy Accents' was added for some shine and dimension on the ball, the clovers and the words 'Boston Celtics'. A shout out to James for his birthday too!
"Hey J". James is Stacy's husband and yes you will find her here on the D.T. too. The Copics I used are below, have a great day and I shall post more cards really soon.
xx

Hello there everybody....It's Suezette here. I have been busy with children and have been a bit under the weather lately so no time or desire to blog. I'm sorry :( I have four Copic projects that I created here for you and I'll do my best to remember the colours I have used for each. Silly me, I didn't write all of them down like I usually do. For the first project, I thought I'd do something different and add an image from Kenny K  'Farmer's Daughter' to the cover of a mini album.

Card

Can you believe April just flew by us. I don't think I had enough time to do everything I wanted to do. With my daughter's softball games and family and work just took all my time away from me doing what I love is crafting and coloring with my copics. Things should start settling down since school is almost over and work well it will be slow during the summer since I work in the music department we don't have that many people here during summer taking classes. What dose that mean to me well during my slow periods and that will be most of time i will be coloring away. YAY!!!!! So I will be posting more often during the summer so keep a look out.

Now to my card for the month of May.
I received a stamp from Carlene to use on my card. The image is super cute. I love rabbits and the ducks are so adorable.

Coloring Medium Toned Skin and Dark Hair with Copics

Hello Everyone,
Welcome to my tutorial for
Color Me Copic Club
Today I will be showing what I use for
Medium Toned Skin and Dark Hair

that could be for either Hispanic, Asian, or African-Amerian....

As we are an
AMERICAN MELTING POT

I myself am Mexican and Afro American
yet when you see me at times I could pass
for Philippino, Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Dominican,
Brazilian and the list goes on and on

My family is a small melting pot as
we have
Mexican, African-American, Japanese, Polish, and
Puerto Rican in our blood for now lol

People would ask me what do you consider yourself
either Mexican or African-American
which when I was young did not know how to answer that

I was raised by my Spanish speaking Abuela (grandma/nana)
which mind you REFUSED to speak English.
She is now 87 and still refuses to speak the language
Oh don't let her fool ya - she completely understands everything you say

BTW - I am proud to speak both languages fluently - Props to Abuela.

Nevertheless we are the color of the rainbow
so who is to say what is right or wrong way to color a complexion
